VOLUNTEER IN ARGENTINA

Taking in the vibrant art and cultural scene, walking amid the opulent Spanish and Italian inspired architecture, savoring the flavor of asado while sipping a mate, gazing at the breath taking landscapes of Patagonia, and of course dancing the mesmerizing tango, are all activities you may jot on your “Things to Do List” during your vacation to Argentina. Beyond its chic, cosmo vibe, however; Argentina has a reality that few people are aware of, much less come to know.

Just a few short years ago, political corruption and gross human rights violations thrust the country into an economic and social collapse. While Argentina managed to survive the threats to its economy and democracy, there are many challenges the country and its people are continuing to work to overcome.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to explore beyond the well packaged commercial tourist brochures found behind every local hotel concierge’s desk. Through interesting and rewarding volunteer opportunities, you will gain an understanding and appreciation for the culture, everyday life, and challenges and struggles of many Argentines and the organizations that seek to help them.

AMPED offers the following eye opening and life enriching cultural experiences in (and near) Buenos Aires, Argentina for its volunteers. Simply click one of the links below to learn more about the project(s) that interest you.
